Mechanical Engineer Apprentice
There’s no doubt that MBDA allows you to find your own path and encourages employees to try different roles throughout the company to find what best suits them.
I am currently completing a BTEC Level 3 Extended in Mechanical Engineering. I started with basic permissions doing one project, and now I am working across multiple projects and have more site access. I am currently on my first placement in the Centre of Excellence as a mechanical designer, which I’m really enjoying.
I chose MBDA to do my apprenticeships because of the experience they have running these programmes. Even so, I was really surprised by the amount of support there is across the departments and between staff. As an ECP member I have been given various self-development sessions. In the workplace I am coached by my managers, especially in areas that I find more challenging.
A good day at work usually involves structured time for concentration with multiple short breaks throughout the day to ensure consistent productivity. The best thing about working at MBDA is the work/life balance, with the new way of dynamic working. There’s no doubt that MBDA allows you to find your own path and encourages employees to try different roles throughout the company to find what best suits them.
