Belonging
We're in this together.

Together, we contribute to a workplace that’s inclusive for all

We believe that when people feel a genuine sense of belonging, they do their best work and are able to grow with confidence. At MBDA, you are encouraged to bring your full self to work - your unique combination of background, perspectives and personal stories.

This is why we don't just talk about inclusion as an important topic; we shape an environment where you can make meaningful contributions, authentic connections and receive recognition for your valued input.

Whether your joining us in engineering, technology, business support or leadership, you'll find a space to share your ideas, be heard, and thrive.

Empowering you to lead change

You want to do work that matters, in a place that matters too. That's why our approach to inclusion goes deeper than policies - it's woven in to how teams collaborate, how decisions are made, and how voices are elevated.

Together we listen, we learn, and we act - because building an inclusive culture isn't a one-off initiative; it's a shared responsibility and a continued committment to making everyone feel welcome and heard.

We're not afraid to have tough conversations with ourselves and we make sure our people are the ones leading those conversations. Our employee-led networks cover a range of ED&I topics and are often involved in research and events within, or on behalf of the business.

Feel like you belong at MBDA

We want everyone who joins us to feel welcomed, included and able to achieve their highest potential. We know that for some, that can be harder for others, which is why we have a number of support initiatives to help with your on-boarding, in addition to the immersive inductions provided to all new starters.

Our STEM Returners partnership has been established to provide opportunities for individuals returning from career breaks to join us, with managers given specific training and resources to help make that journey as smooth as possible.

We launched our Workplace Adjustments Passport in 2021 so everyone can, if they wish, share information about a disability, physical or mental health condition, or neurodiversity. The Passport aims to remove or reduce barriers and challenges at work and support everyone to achieve their full potential.

Our mentoring programmes provide chances for employees to speak and learn from someone outside their management structure. In September 2023 we launched our Women in Defence Mentoring Scheme.

Employee-Led Networks

Sometimes we need a little extra support, or another place to be heard when it comes to topics that matter to us as individuals.

That's why we encourage our people to lead and collaborate with colleagues as part of our employee-led networks. Below you'll find just a snapshot of some of our most active networks you are welcome to join - either as an active member of simply an ally to the cause.

GEN-EQ - Gender Equality
