Join our MBDA Facilities Management Team! We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead our Financial & Commercial team. Your role will involve managing the preparation, evaluation, and presentation of the Facilities rolling 1 to 5 year Capital plans. Working closely with our internal team, you will evaluate project requirements and develop budgets aligned with market costings, ensuring a robust agreement for our projects.
Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working such as 2 - 3 days on site pending workload.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
You'll take ownership for the ongoing process of managing the Facilities capital budgets, balancing changing business priorities and facilities project costs whilst managing within the overall agreed budget or negotiating changes to the budget with the business when required. Leading and developing the FM Finance team and deputising for the whole FM Commercial, Finance and Property team in the absence of the UK Commercial, Finance and Property Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
Costing / Estimating all the Facilities Management Capital requirements for a rolling 1 – 5 years
Budget Forecasting, Building Business Cases, Financial Applications, Recording Variations and Project Costs
Monitoring Market Trends and Inflation rates and make the relevant amendments to our forecasts
Monitoring and updating the Bill of Rates, acting as the main interface between Facilities Management and Finance on all Capital related concerns
Supporting Central Procurement in Contracts and Major Procurement activities to ensure Policy Compliance
What we're looking for from you:
Experience and knowledge in a Facilities Management environment mainly Construction
Pre-Construction and Construction estimation experience
Experience in Budget Forecasting and strong financial acumen, including an understanding of market influences
Experience in Project Cost Control and managing budgets throughout a project lifecycle
Ability to lead a team from the front
Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate and influence at all levels
Strong stakeholder management, building relationships both internally and externally
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills, including ability to multi-task and manage timescales
Strong Excel knowledge and database management
Demonstrate a positive, proactive approach in all circumstances with a focus on continuous improvement and results oriented mind-set
