MBDA earns two Platinum awards from Investors in People
We are proud to share that at the end of 2024 Investors in People re-accredited us in their three categories, with two rising from Gold to Platinum.
Our Platinum awards are for our ‘We invest in wellbeing’ and ‘We invest in apprentices’ accreditations, and we retained our Gold award in our ‘We invest in people’ accreditation.
Platinum is the highest level of accreditation it’s possible to achieve.
It means that for our people’s wellbeing, we are making an outstanding effort to support their social, physical and psychological wellbeing. Setting stretching goals and meeting them.
For our apprentices it means we are committed to developing them for the benefit of the individual and our business, and there are clear channels of communication and support for each apprentice.
Our ‘We invest in people’ accreditation means we’ve got the policies in place, but more than that, it means everyone – from our MD to our apprentices - takes ownership for making them come to life.
Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said:
“We’d like to congratulate MBDA. Platinum accreditation on ‘We invest in wellbeing’ and ‘We invest in apprentices’, as well as Gold accreditation on ‘We invest in people’ is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places MBDA in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of their people, their wellbeing, and delivering high quality apprenticeships.”
At MBDA, we say people are our greatest strength. Working a job is something that that can take up that much of all our daily lives. That’s why we’re aligned with Investors in People, and because people are our greatest strength they deserve to get more out of their job. It’s why we’re supporting them by becoming accredited, ensuring that we are always working to contribute to their better wellbeing, better development and a better all-round experience at work.
Lucy, our HR Manager for Learning and Development who oversaw our re-accreditation, reflected on the success saying:
“Three years ago, when we were last accredited, we said we wouldn’t be resting on what we’d achieved then. That we were already working to continue to improve. Our Platinum awards for Wellbeing and Apprenticeships, as well as our retention of our Gold award demonstrates this. However, we won’t stop there, and we’ll continue our efforts to keep improving and make work better for all our people.”
