Celebrating Four MBDA Finalists in the British Ex-Forces in Business Awards

The finalists of the 2024 British Ex-Forces in Business Awards have been announced and we are pleased share the news of four of our colleagues who have been selected.

What are the British Ex-Forces in Business Awards?

The Awards are the flagship showcase of the value veterans add to the UK economy, and this seventh annual edition saw a record-breaking number of nominations.

Launched in 2017, the Awards promote the wide range of achievements of veterans in second careers, highlighting the skills and values they bring from their experience of serving their country.

Since then the Awards have celebrated the post-military achievements of over 1,500 veterans and reservists at events attended by thousands of employers across the UK

This year’s shortlist displays the vast breadth of the Armed Force community’s influence across all corners of the economy.

Ben Rossi, founder of the British Ex-Forces in Business Awards, said, “The incredible achievements documented through the 900-plus nominations we received for this year’s Awards are simply staggering,” adding, “Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists and thank you for serving as such tremendous role models for service leavers.”

Our MBDA Finalists

Andrew, one of our technical executives, is a finalist for the Engineering Excellence Award.

Mark, one of our executives in exports, is up for the Innovator of the Year Award.

Simon, a senior advisor, has been selected in the Lifetime Achievement Award category.

Tony, one of our managers in customer services and support, is in the running for the Military Values in Business Award.

This year’s winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in London in June.

At MBDA we are proud of the work we do to defend our nation and our allies and we work with each branch of the UK Armed Forces and government to provide vital defence products and services.

We currently employ hundreds of service leavers and have an abundance of support available for all employees, including a dedicated 'Armed Forces Community' employee group. 

We were also named in the 100 great British Employers on Veterans.
